ABOUT 100 PEOPLE ATTENDED THE FIRST ACADEMIC SESSION OF THE 10th ANNIVERSARY OF THE CREATION OF THE BIOMEDICAL TRACK OF THE ECOLE POLYTECHNIQUE ON OCTOBER 11, 2018
The assembly was made up of engineers – students and graduates -, teachers, doctors, patients and donors.
Prof. Antoine Nonclerc, President of the sector, reported on the evolution of the last born : with 50% growth over the last 4 years, the biomedical sector reaches almost parity by having a female representation of 40% of engineers.
Two presentations then illustrated the spirit of collaboration that led to the creation of this sector :
- Prof. Alain Delchambre recalled the genesis of this training whose multidisciplinary research collaborations were one of the incentives to train biomedical engineers.
- Prof. Jacques Devière then shared his enthusiasm and pride in being able to save lives with tools designed and developed by teams of engineers and doctors.
