Professeur à 35 ans – le plus jeune dans sa discipline – Marc Barthet termine ses études en 1995.
Professeur des universités, médecin des hôpitaux chez APHM (Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Marseille), le Professeur Marc Barthet est un spécialiste en hépato-gastro-entérologie et oncologie digestive à l’Hôpital Nord de Marseille.
En janvier 2014, il a conduit l’équipe du service gastro-entérologie qui a reconstruit l’œsophage d’une patiente sans ouvrir son thorax ni son abdomen. Il s’agit d’une première mondiale réalisée à Marseille.
Le Pr. Marc Barthet est aujourd’hui un référent international dans le domaine de la chirurgie endoscopique transluminale.
