This collaboration stems from the \u00ab\u00a0Ecole polytechnique de Bruxelles\u00a0\u00bb, \u201cFablabs\u201d from the \u00ab\u00a0Univerit\u00e9 libre de Bruxelles\u00a0\u00bb the St-Peter\u2019s Hospital, who all wanted to respond the current need for protections.<\/h4><p>Together, these teams have conceived devices and made them available to the medical staff as well as other categories of people at risks, particularly on their work place. These devices aim to allow them to protect themselves and reduces the risk of infection. They have been given to numerous hospitals ( St-Peters, ULB Erasmus, UZ Brussels, ZN Antwerpen, Bordet, Brugman, Huderf, CHU Epicura of Mons\u2026). In addition, demands keep growing in every regions of Belgium whether from hospitals, palliative care centers, abortion centers, rest homes, general practitioner, nurses, kinesitherapists, dentists,\u00a0 organizations like \u00ab\u00a0Doctors without frontier\u00a0\u00bb , Doctors of the world, F\u00e9dasil, &#8230;, youth support services, communes, cr\u00e8ches, police, prisons, social sectors and today schools and educational institutions.<span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; color: #000000; font-family: Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: start; background-color: #f7f7f7;\">\u00a0<\/span>We were also happy to help medical teams in Ouagadougou, Doala, Kinshasa through the cooperation structure of the Erasmus Hospital, the Fosfom.<\/p><p>Today, we are able to manufacture 3.000 reusable \u201cfaceshields\u201d, 7.500 aprons a day. And we were also able to produce 800 medical gowns.<\/p><p>Our teams have also produced swabs and respiratory valves.\u00a0<\/p><p>We want to sincerely thank people that helped us by making donation and gave raw material as well as means of production (3D Printers, laser cutting machines)\u00a0as well as volunteers who have been involved throughout the project<\/p><p>However, the fight has not ended yet. This collaboration stems from the \u00ab\u00a0Ecole polytechnique de Bruxelles\u00a0\u00bb, \u201cFablabs\u201d from the \u00ab\u00a0Univerit\u00e9 libre de Bruxelles\u00a0\u00bb the St-Peter\u2019s Hospital, who all wanted to respond the current need for protections. Together, these teams have conceived devices and made them available to the medical staff as well as other categories of people at risks, particularly on their work place. These devices aim to allow them to protect themselves and reduces the risk of infection.
